Truths of the Reformation

We believe in the Historic Truths of the Reformation.

Scripture alone teaches that salvation is in Christ alone, by grace alone, through faith alone, to the glory of God alone.

Scripture Alone

The Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments have been given to us by inspiration of God and are the only rule for our faith.

II Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.

Christ Alone

We are saved from our sins through the death of Christ, this is the only way God has provided a way for our sins to be forgiven.

I Timothy 2:5-6 There is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all.

Grace Alone

We are forgiven of our sins by God’s grace because he loves us, not because of anything which we have done to deserve it.

Ephesians 2:8-9 By grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

Faith Alone

We are forgiven of our sins by faith that Christ died for us, not because of anything that we have done to earn our forgiveness.

Romans 5:1-2 Having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand.

Glory of God Alone

We are saved for the purpose of glorifying God who is working all things together for his glory.

Romans 11:36 From Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to Him be the glory forever.
